Who we are
Chadlington CCBAG is a volunteer group of residents working to record, protect and restore nature across our parish in West Oxfordshire.
What we do
- Recording. We map notable trees, butterflies, moths and other wildlife so we know what is here and how it is changing. See our maps.
- Monitoring. We track the health of the River Evenlode and contribute to nationwide surveys like the Big Butterfly Count.
- Connecting. We host talks, walks and the Evenlode Geographical Lectures, bringing local and visiting experts together with the community. See events.
- Acting. We support practical work — from hedgerow planting to household energy advice — that helps the parish adapt to a changing climate.
Why local action matters
Biodiversity loss and climate change are global problems, but the response begins at the local level. By understanding what lives in our parish and how the landscape is changing, we can make better decisions about how to look after it — and pass on a richer environment to the next generation.
Get involved
Everyone is welcome, whether you have wildlife expertise to share, a sighting to report, or just an interest in your local landscape. There is something to do whatever your time, skill or experience.
